The Virginia Department of Public Utilities is a city-owned utility which has been proudly serving the residents and businesses of the City of Virginia since 1913.  The Virginia Public Utilities Commission governs the Utility.  The Commission and the Utility’s employees strive to provide safe and reliable electric power, water, natural gas, and steam products in an environmentally friendly way at reasonable rates.
